The Wrinkled Shirt:
Leaving your shirt wrinkled seems to be a common problem found especially with dress shirts! If you’re going to take the time to put an outfit together at least make sure your clothes look clean and not like you just picked it up off your bedroom floor! A simple solution is to get into the habit of ironing your clothes whether you think it’s necessary or not. Get use to incorporating it into your getting ready time, and if you’re worried about damaging delicate materials use the lowest heat setting!
The Everyday Shoe:
Your shoes are either going to make or break your outfit, but unfortunately most men think their outfit ends at the pants! If you’re not a crazy shoe fanatic invest in some good quality shoes that are neutral colours so they don’t take away from your outfit. Black, white, and brown are good colours for the basic everyday shoe. Your shoes don’t have to be name brand, but at least make sure they’re clean! Shoe cleaners and protectors are always a wise purchase when it comes to maintaining shoe quality.
The Bulging Pockets:
In today’s day and age carrying cash isn’t necessary on a day-to-day basis. Having a massive wallet sticking out of your pants pocket is the biggest eye sore! Leave the old receipts, condoms, and stack of business cards at home when they aren’t necessary. Invest in a compact card holder this way you have access to your debit, credit, and small amounts of cash without looking like you’re carrying an entire zoo in your pockets. If you absolutely cannot do without carrying a bunch of junk along with you when you go out at least invest in a briefcase or carryall depending on your lifestyle.
Socks with Sandals:
I still don’t understand why this was ever a thing. Wearing socks with your sandals completely defeats the purpose of wearing sandals. Seriously if you want an easy pair of shoes to put on when you’re in a hurry just invest in a pair of slip-on shoes, or at least take the socks off. That is all.
Mix and Matching your Patterns:
Whether its striped, checkered, or floral just stick to one! Wearing multiple different patterns is never a good idea, if you want to wear something with bold print let that be your statement piece! Printed clothing should always be paired with basics to give your outfit some consistency and a nice flow. Multiple prints can be confusing and a little harsh on the eyes, remember more isn’t always better!
